Blue Chinos

Blue Chinos
Meatpacking District
Hudson and 14th St.

The one thing I love about summer in New York is the guys bringing out the colorful chinos. Color is good in the pant area. Any choice would go perfect with a white button down shirt as this gent displays. I also notice the great green leather in his watch straps and the beige in his tassle loafers. Extra points for that thick, slick mane he’s sporting. Such a great haircut. If you got the length and the thickness to pull that style off, I say go for it.

Color Block Jacket

Color Block Jacket

Hudson Square
Varick and Charlton St.

Color blocking is a nice way to break up the monotony of solid color apparel. The red and blue on this jacket is a nice compliment to each other. I also like that the hood is actually being worn and being utilized.

Saturday Casual

Saturday Casual

West Village
Bedford and Leroy St.

I was drawn to Ohrun’s casual weekend outfit by virtue of the mix of color in his comfortable athletic wear. He gives a great example of how to be sporty without being slovenly.

Colorful Shopper

SoHo
350 West Broadway

SoHo can sometimes feel like a clever acronym for the word shopping as opposed to it intended meaning. But with heavy retail traffic, comes many opportunities to shoot stylish men making purchases. I like the variety of color he uses in his outfit – all different and complimentary.

Waiting On The Corner

Waiting On The Corner

West Village
Corner Bistro

Corner Bistro is one of the best burger joints in the city. I found this guy waiting for a date at – where else – the corner.  The second wait comes when you get inside and have to wait in line. His colored t-shirt made him stand out.

Pink Pants

Pink Pants

West Village
Christopher and Bleecker Sts.

Not only are they pink, but they are also pin striped. The slim fit and pairing of a white polo and dark suede boots really makes it all look sharp.

Rolled Up

West Chelsea
10th Ave. and 29th St.

This guy is all about the rolls – his t-shirt and his pants. I like his choice of putting blue and green together, with his cream colored high tops. I’m rarely a pattern or prints guy, except when it comes to plaid, so I can appreciate solid blocks of color.

Two Guys, Two Tanks

Two Guys, Two Tanks

West Village
7th Ave. and Greenwich Ave.

I stumbled upon this couple leaving Roasting Plant Coffee in the West Village as I was heading in. It’s all about color with these tanks.  The green one is pretty low cut and has wider arm holes.  I’m a little more conservative and like the blue one, which is less revealing, but not by much 🙂

Contrast

Contrast

Financial District
Wall St.

Purple is a color I rarely see on a guy, so it was refreshing to see it displayed here on this guy’s tie contrasted against his grey suit. All it takes is that one bit of contrast to perk a suit up. Pretty cool haircut he’s sporting as well and added bonus to see a guy smiling for a change.

Pop of Color

Pop of Color

Midtown
Park Ave and 46th St.

This is a pretty sharp grey suit with a pop of color from the tie, held together by his tie bar and finished off with a white pocket square. He looks like he’s brown bagging it for lunch. Now this is how you do lunch people. Take note
